I cannot believe a year has already passed since The 1975 release their sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It. This album has particular meaning in my life, because this was the first album of The 1975’s that I heard, and I immediately fell in love with their sound. They had a few popular songs before, like “Girls” and “Chocolate,” but I didn’t really know anything about them, or heard any of their other songs. I remember hearing song after song from this album and kept wanting to hear more and more until I realized I listened to the whole album. From there, I became obsessed with them, and their self titled album as well. I absolutely love their whole aesthetic, and the way their frontman, Matty Healy, presents himself. I have been so lucky to see them live twice already, and met Matty once. I am so excited for the future of The 1975, and grateful for this amazing record.
After two years, Lana del Rey released what I think will be a single off her new album (hopefully dropping soon) called Love. After hearing even 30 seconds of it, I was absolutely obsessed. It instantly reminded me of her Born to Die era, which made me incredibly happy, as it is easily my favorite of all her albums. Her voice is soft, and this lullaby feeling song is so catchy and beautiful. This song particularly reminds me of her songs Born to Die in the sense that you can really hear Lana’s beautiful serene vocals.Overall, I’m OBSESSED!
It has been so cold and snowy recently, it is so pretty and calming!
All four of these pictures are taken in different locations: New York, London, Los Angeles, and Miami. I love contrasting the differences in all four cities and what defines it. It may question you about what a city actually is, considering all four of these places are different, from their style to the type of person who would live there.
